Sponsorship Brochure (PDF)
I would like to take the opportunity to announce that GNU/Linux Users’
Group, NIT Durgapur is organizing its annual National Level Technical
Symposium on GNU/Linux & Free Software called MUKTI from 6th – 8th February, 2009.

MUKTI is the only event of its kind in eastern India for 4 years in a row. MUKTI has seen many luminaries from the world of Information Technology – starting with Prof. Sumitabha Das, the UNIX guru and Ankit Fadia, the “ethical hacker”, Mr. Shankar Pokharel, President of the One Laptop per Child Project (OLPC), Nepal, to engineers from SUN Microsystems, IBM, Red Hat, Novell and Yahoo! in 2007 and 2008. MUKTI boasts of something for everybody, it has technical as well as non-technical events with many opportunities for students of core departments.

This may not be out of place to mention that the Dept. of Information Technology, Govt. of West Bengal along with IOTA (Institute for Open Technology and Applications), has recognized GNU/Linux User’s Group, NIT Durgapur as one of the two Nodal Resource Centers in West  Bengal. IOTA activity in NIT Durgapur would take its first step
during MUKTI ’09.

Association with sponsor

MUKTI has always been a great platform for young minds from all over.  MUKTI, last year witnessed a participation of
around 2500 students from across . This year we expect that number to increase. We would be highly obliged if sponsor could associate with us in our March to Freedom.

Herewith is enclosed the sponsorship brochure containing the details of benefits of each category of sponsor and the Price Slab for Mukti’09. Other than those mentioned in the brochure some special benefits have also been worked out by us:

1. Banners in all places of prominence inside the NIT Durgapur campus.

2. Stalls imparting information about the company could be put up.

3. Audio/Visual Advertisements of sponsor during the event intervals.

4. Distribution of sponsor goodies to audiences during the events.

5. Problem statements of events could be customized to your requirements in case of event sponsorship.

6. Visibility in newsprint & radio, courtesy our Official Media & Radio Partners.

We are also open to other marketing ideas from your side that would mutually benefit us.

Target Audience

1. Participants numbering over 2500 from more than 50 colleges all
across

2. An in-house student base of more than 2000 students.

3. Families of 200 teaching and 250 non-teaching staff.

4. Dignitaries & stalwarts from the field of Open Source.

5. Newsprint readers and radio audience in West

Bengal.

I sincerely hope our detailed proposal interests you and looking forward

to an early and affirmative reply.

Regards,

Debayan Banerjee
