My asinine opinion on the Higgs Boson discovery

July 18, 2012 at 12:19 pm (Uncategorized)

The Higgs Boson is actually a pixel. Just like pixels on a computer screen bring an image to life, Higgs Bosons bring you and me and anything solid to life.

Lets think about it for a while.

What the Higgs Boson really does is that it imparts mass to particles that interact with it. The space around (and inside) you is filled with millions of Higgs Bosons. The subatomic particles in our body interact with these Higgs Bosons to different extents and acquire different sets of masses. Since they have acquired masses they become capable of reflecting light and interacting each other, hence I can now see you and touch you.

Hence the Higgs Boson is really a 3d pixel strewn across the universe so that things can seem life like, just like the pixels on the laptop screen, or the dust particles in the atmosphere used to render 3d objects as in

What this also tells me is that *this* universe is only a display device. There might be another universe where we are stored as programs. Just like a monitor and a CPU are often separate. The processor universe sends signals to this display universe, and this display universe uses the Higgs Bosons to render us.

What do you think?
